Nothing of note for me this morning bird wise, but 11 spieces of Butterfly wasn't bad (see haven Wildlife page).

On the scrape: 2 Redshank, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Shelduck ducklings (no sign of any adults), 1 Mallard (with 2 ducklings), 2 Blk H Gull, 2 Herring Gull (nesting on the Tern Raft), Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler, 12+ Swallows. DW/MR

Sun 5th June 22

The scrape has finally run out of water, hopefully the promised rain may give us a little in the next couple of days, just one Redshank and 8 Blk. headed Gulls + a bonus Med Gull today.

Wed 1st June 22

Better late than never, a Spotted Flycatcher seen this morning by Richard from the Raised Platform was a new bird for the year list.

A Fox walking across the scrape as we walked to the hide was not a good start and no sign of the Redshank chick all morning was a bit ominous, otherwise much the same, 4 Shelduck + (7 ducklings), 3 Mallard (+2 ducklings), 2 Redshank, 2 Oystercatchers, 7 Blk H Gulls, 1 Med Gull (over). 2 Buzzard, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel, a few Swallows, 2 Swift. DW/RJ/MR
