I started today with a walk around the Dell and was pleased to find a Spotted Flycatcher in the sallows, in the same area were Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, Willow Warbler, Blackcap and a small flock of juv. Goldfinch. A Yellow Wagtail was on the Greensward with 11 Pied Wags. I later found that the Spot Fly had been found earlier by BH.

On the scrape were c40 Greylag, 60+ Teal, 8 Shelduck, 6 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron, 30+ Lapwing, 18 Avocet, 3 Snipe, 1 Common Sand, 1 Green Sand.

On the return I met Pete Davis at the sluice who had located a Caspian Gull on the sluice rocks.
