12:48 4 1/2 hour seawatch very disappointing considering the conditions,15 Common Tern, 10+ Sandwich Tern, 8 Gannet, 7 Teal & 7 Oystercatcher.
At the end of August the number of species recorded at the Haven this year stands at 157.

09:57 Peregrine now settled on marsh to right of scrape in cattle field. All small waders now absent.

17:14 Steady stream of young large gulls moving N, nearly all Herring but a few LBB & GBB
17:58 Little else to add from HH. Just for the record (1615 - 1800): 1 Bonxie N, 2 C Scoter N, 20 Gannets N (all 2 cy)..

A few more birds around the bushes today with a least 2 Spotted Flycatchers (1 in the Dell & 1+ in the white poplars alongside the Mounds), plus several Chiffchaff, Willow Warblers, Lesser & Common Whitethroat, Goldfinch, Reed Warbler.
From the hide: c40 Greylags, 4 Grey Heron, 3 Lt. Egret, 3 Cormorant, Mallard, Teal, 4 Shoveler, 50 Blk T Godwits, 24 Lapwing, 4 Avocet, 3 Snipe, 2 Common Sands, 2 Green Sands, 1 Greenshank, 25 Blk H Gulls, 2 Buzzard, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrel. MO'H/RJ/MR.

9:04 HH Scrape: 1 Greenshank, 1 Common & 2 Green Sands (possibly more, mobile & using ditches), 4 Snipe & 1 Whimbrel.

16:16 Spot fly in car park hedge by first bench.
18:16 Second Spot Fly from 5 bar gate. 2 Whinchats on brambles right of the hide, from hide 3 Green and 2 Common sands + Greenshank.
In bushes- 6 Willow warbler, several each of Lesser White, Whitethroat, Blackcap and Reed Warbler.

18:07 Surprised to see a Barn Owl out NR farm manure heap also moulting adult Stonechat in the paddock very scarce lately.

It seemed quiet on the scrape when we first arrived, but through the morning things kept popping out or dropping in to make it a worthwhile morning.
