Lots of young birds on the scrape this morning with large chicks of Lapwing, Redshank, Oystercatcher and Avocet + a good number of new Avocet hatchlings. 3 Blk. T. Godwits dropped in before I arrived and disappeared behind the Island and another 4 had a fly round for a minute or two before heading off, a Cuckoo being fed by a Meadow Pipit on a bush along the ditch was interesting for a few minutes, otherwise much the same.
