Brian Combes had two Pectoral Sandpipers on Leon's marsh first thing, unfortunately they didn't stay for long.

08:50 2 PEC SANDS scrape.

09:09 No sign currently - last seen on the marsh on the left between hide and main body of water.

14:34 Walk from Frinton to the hide and back this morning: 2 pectoral sandpiper (delightful), 4 common sandpiper (2 on sea defences, 2 scrape), 5 redshank, 6 little egret (south over scrape), 6 teal, 4 med gull, 26 avocet, 16 black-tailed godwit, 1 Cetti’s warbler (singing), 13 goldfinch, 1 buzzard, 1 mipit (singing), 3 whitethroat (singing), 1 curlew (south), 5 reed warbler (singing), 5 reed bunting (singing), 26 linnet (flock of 22 on golf course), 40+ swift, 50+ sand martin,  20+ swallow, 15+ house martin, 12 pied wagtail, 1 corn bunting (singing inland on boardwalk)

19:40 5pm visit to hide. 31 Avocet, 29 Blackwits, 3 Common Sandpiper, 9 Redshank, 12 Lapwing, plus 1 small chick, 1 Little Egret, 12 Teal, 3 Shoveler, 1 Yellow Wagtail and 60+ Swift.
