From the Hide: 130+ Greylag, 60+ Teal, 54 Shoveler, 3 Wigeon, 2 Shelduck, 6 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 100+ Lapwing (mostly on the arable), 16 Avocet, 3 Snipe, 1 Water Rail, c50 Blk H Gulls, 5 Herring Gulls, 1 Med Gull, 2 Stonechat, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 1 Swallow, 7+ Buzzard, 1 Red Kite, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Hobby, 1 Kestrel. 09:21 SEO in/off c08:00, landed on path then flew back out over seawall

12:06 Light passage of Mipits (c50), few Swallows, only saw one small flock of finches south, probably Linnets. One Clouded Yellow.

13:20 Lots of finches in the Dell this morning, mainly Greenfinch & Goldfinch, 2 Chaffinch, 1 Brambling, 1 Siskin & Reed Bunting, 10+ Jays seen & 4 or 5 Great spot Woodpeckers, 2 more Brambling in the bushes behind the Sluice, from  the hide,1 Water Rail, 1 Hobby, 1 Red Kite, 2 Sparrowhawk & 10 + Buzzard, walk around to French point , 3 Stonechat & 3 Med Gulls over. Still several Clouded Yellows about today.

149+ linnet (99 south, first significant finch passage of the autumn; 50+ on arable), 74 mipit (south), 11 swallow (south), 9 skylark (south), 2 pied wag (south), 1 grey wag (south), 1 brambling, 1 sparrowhawk, 2 wheatear, 5 stonechat, 4 goldcrest, 3 great spotted woodpecker (1 south along seawall), 1 lesser whitethroat, 5 chiff (1 singing), 4 blackcap, 5 song thrush, 9 greenfinch (including group of 7 on the golf course), 20+ goldfinch, 4 chaffinch, 9 reed bunting, 6 Cetti’s (singing), 65 lapwing, 15 avocet, 2 snipe, 8 buzzard (6 drifting south).
