30+ Swallows around the mounds this morning with the fledglings emerging from the back of the sluice. The male Stonechat was again in the same area.
From the hide :- 11 Shelduck (3 + 8), 27 Avocet (13 + 2 Juvs. + 12+ chicks), 6 Redshank, 4 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Common Sandpipers, 2 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Marsh Harrier, c60 Swift (over the arable) PRD/CB/MR.
