Thurs 22nd Oct 20

I spent an hour at the south end of the site this morning, a dozen or so Goldcrest were along the approach road with lots of Blackbirds and 30+ Redwings, 2 Chiffchaff around the Dipping Pond area, but sadly no sign of the YBW heard earlier by a visitor along the car park bottom hedge.

From the hide:

3 Mute Swans (on arable), 127 Greylag, 210 Teal, 38 Wigeon, 8 Shelduck, c70 Lapwing, 16 Blk H gull, 16 Herring Gull, 10+ Swallows, 1 Water Rail (heard only).

On the return to the car a Stonechat was on the Mounds and 5 Turnstone on the sluice rocks.
