Things were much the same today with 53 White-fronted Geese on the arable north of the chippings lay-by on the way in, thanks Matt. ML/MR
3 Cormorants were fishing offshore between the sluice and French Point and a Gt. C Grebe was sitting on the sea drifting north on the tide, around the sluice were 4 Purple Sandpipers and a Turnstone.
From the hide: 6 Mute Swans, 1 Greylag, 62 Brent Geese (in for a wash then out), c80 Teal, 10+ Wigeon, 10 Shelduck, 2 Shoveler (a pair), 1 Grey Heron, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel. MR
On leaving the hide c200 Brent flew along the marsh, a report from visitors said they had come from the field behind the golf course and the Greylag flock were in the same area.
