A brisk N/E wind made it a bit uncomfortable again this morning, but still managed to have a rewarding walk around the site with PL. All the residents were singing around the bushes, the Cuckoo was up and down the marsh and in the sheltered spots we managed nine spieces of butterfly.




From the hide: The two Canada Goose families still have all 13 of their goslings and the hybrid pair 5, new today were at least 12 Shelduck duckling with 24 adults, 10+ Mallard (lot of ducklings), 1 Shoveler, 1 Wigeon, 24 Avocet, 2 Oystercatcher (with 3 chicks), 2 Lapwing, 1 Coot, 2 Lt. Grebe, 1 Lt. Egret, 2 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, Sedge, Reed & Cetti's Warbler, Reed Bunting, Linnet & Mippits. PL/MR.
