Just one new bird this morning a juv. Lt. Ringed Plover, otherwise much the same if a little cooler.

A very warm day with a nice cooling sea breeze, Sadly no sign of the Egyptian gosling although the adult pair were moving around the site all morning.

From the hide: 10+ Canada Geese, 2 Egyptian Geese, 20+ Mallard, 4 Teal, 3 Shelduck (+ ducklings), 3 Shoveler (+ 3 ducklings), 61 Avocet (+ 1 chick), 7 Blk T Godwits, 5 Lapwing (+ chicks), 2 Oystercatcher, 16 Blk H Gulls, 1 LBB, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Lt. Egret, 1 Lt. Grebe, 2+ Buzzard, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Kestrel, 10+ Sand Martin & a few Swallows. Plus the first Ringlet butterfly of the year. RJ/MR.

A new breeding record for Egyptian Goose at the Haven this week, A pair were seen yesterday with two goslings and this morning they were on the island but with just one gosling, hopefully they get the one through to fledging.

The first summer GBB Gull J68CX was still on the sluice rocks with a few of it's mates this morning. On the scrape it was all about Avocet's with over 60 again today.

A very brief appearance by a Lt Ringed Plover on Leon's marsh, two Marsh Harriers interacting over the arable and Avocet numbers up to 44 was about it for this morning.

The only bird of note this morning was a Lt Ringed Plover on the scrape when I arrived that disappeared behind the island and was not seen again.

16:25  7.30 to 12.30 Sea watch shelter, joined by RJ & SC some of the time.1 Common Scoter, 4 Sandwich Tern (2 me), Kittiwake 1 RJ  1 Poss SE), 7 Fulmar (SE) 2 might have doubled back. 36 Gannets (SE) plus about 10 missed. Very enjoyable.
