Hundreds of Gatekeeper butterflies were along the path from the sluice to the hide this morning along with Small Heaths, Whites and 4+ Common Blues, 2 Wasp Spiders. Richard & Mike also had a Clouded Yellow. 

A walk around the Dell area added another 18+ Wasp Spiders they seem to be coping with the fires and the rain

From the Hide: 3 Mallard, 2 Shelduck, 10 Avocet, 10 Lapwing, 4 Common Sands, 1 Oystercatchers, 1 LRP, c40 Blk H Gulls, 1 Med Gull (juv), 1 Grey Heron, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel. MO'H/RJ/PNt/MR et.al.
