Had a walk along the front from the Dipping Pond to French Point this afternoon (with Matt to the sluice). Started well with 8 Siskin picked up by Matt in flight that landed above our heads in the sallows beside the Dipping Pond, then a Brambling over the Raised Platform. 7 Turnstone were on the sluice rocks and 2 Stonechat just passed the pillbox. 3 Rock Pipits were on the seawall beside French Point and on the return another 4 were on the Boating Club rocks, could have included the first 3 but who knows. ML/MR.
Reports from today:
Matt Lonsdale
08:33 Tree Sparrow south over pillbox.
09:01 Guillemot offshore from sluice area. Clearly a Tree Sparrow day with at least 4 noted so far + Brambling and Redpoll. Challenging conditions in sun.
