On the scrape: 4 Mute Swans (on arable), otherwise as John's report below

On the way back to the car a Guillemot was fishing just offshore and a Marsh Harrier was being mobbed by corvids over the carpark.

13:26Highlights from 2-day survey in Holland Haven area: 2 Purple Sand today near sluice, 1 Red-throated Diver both days close inshore, 1 Guillemot close in yesterday. Also today: 5 Turnstone, 42 Lapwing, 192 Greylags, 86 Wigeon, 56 Teal, 8 Shoveler, 10 Snipe, 1 Peregrine in field behind Haven.

17:20 Spot Fly at The Naze this morning in Sycamores. Haven this afternoon: 18 Snipe on scrape plus 1cy Marsh Harrier. No sign of any Purp Sands this pm.
