The Dell and Badger Set areas were quite busy with a very confiding Chiffchaff and a few Blackcaps showing well, also lots of Goldfinch and House Sparrows, a Song Thrush was nice to see, the Approach Rd and Dipping Pond were quiet apart from a small flock of Long T Tits.
5 Turnstone were on the sluice with a few Gulls and 2 R T Divers were sitting offshore and 10 Brent and 3 Cormorant headed south.
On the scrape: 4 Mute Swans, c100 Greylag, c 70 Teal, 22 Wigeon, 5 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Lt. Egret, c180 Lapwing, 6 Snipe, 5 Avocet, 1 Dunlin, 1 Water Rail, 2 Buzzard, c40 Swallow (over) + a few Mipits and Goldfinch.
On the return the R T Divers were still offshore a single Sandwich Tern headed north and a juv. Peregrine was watched chasing passerines over the sea before heading off inland. RJ/MR
