From the hide: 2 LRP's, 2 Green Sands, 1 Common Sand, 1 Dunlin, 1 Redshank, c90 Blk. H Gulls, 5 Herring Gulls, 2 LBB Gulls, 4 Grey Heron, 2 Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrel, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Buzzard, lots of Pied Wags and a few Swallows. PRD/RJ/DW/MR. A Common Tern headed north on my way past the sluice.

14:52 Frinton/Haven/farm circuit this morning included: 21 Pied Wagtail (mainly golf course, seawall and scrape), 250+ Starling (golf course first thing), 10 Curlew (golf course first thing), 1 Yellow Wagtail (juv golf course), 4 Green Woodpecker (2 juv in the paddocks), 2 Whimbrel (golf course first thing), 2 Cetti’s Warbler (singing, only warbler singing this morning), 3 Stonechat (golf course dump - female and at least 2 juv), 11 Linnet, 2 Common Tern, 1 Sparrowhawk, 3 Corn Bunting (2 over the unharvested barley fields calling, and 1 briefly singing); scrape - 3 Heron, 1 Green Sandpiper, 81 Black headed Gull, 2 Lesser Black Backed Gull, 5 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher, 3 Herring Gull, 1 Little Ringed Plover (briefly), 2 Ringed Plover. [Caspian tern sneaked past me while I was on the seawall!].
