Another good morning on the scrape, nothing rare yet but a nice turnover of birds over the last few days.
From the hide: 10 Lapwing, 3 Green Sands, 1 LRP, 1 Ringed Plover, 1 Dunlin, 1 Avocet, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Redshank, c120 B H Gulls, 3 Herring Gulls, 1 LBB, 2 Grey Heron, 1 Lt. Egret, 1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel. Offshore c18 Common Scoter headed north. PRD/RJ/DW/MR.

08:54 Highlights from this morning’s walk Haven to Frinton: 3 Com Sands on rocks nr outfall; 2 Green Sands + 3 (4 yest eve) Redshanks on Scape; 4 Whimbrel on hay meadow inland from wooden hide; Curlew flying ova; 3 Yell Wags with Pied Wags on GC; Stonechat with fledglings. Colour-ringed 2nd cal Herring Gull (Red ZUT) on rocks.
09:21 ZUT was ringed as a chick in Felixstowe Docks last July. Only other sighting was near Felixstowe Pier last August.
