Tues 12th July 22
A quick visit this morning showed 6 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Avocet, 1 Grey Heron on the scrape with 17 Blk Headed, 8 Herring, 2 LBB and 1 Common Gull. A group of young Swallows were on the wire at the back of the sluice.

18:35 Frinton/Haven/Farm circuit this morning included: 4 Curlew, 6 Green Woodpecker (including family of three juveniles at the farm), 10 Pied Wagtail, 1 Chiffchaff (singing), 40+ Swallow, 1 Yellow Wagtail (juv on golf course), 8 Linnet, 6 Reed Warbler (singing), 50+ Starling (golf course), 3 Reed Bunting (singing), 1 Stonechat (female carrying food), 2 Buzzard, 1 Sedge Warbler (singing), 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker (calling at Haven), 6 Sand Martin (south), 2 Corn Bunting (singing - unharvested barley fields), 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Mistle Thrush (west edge of golf course). On scrape: 4 Lapwing, 1 Common Gull, 1 Heron, 2 Lesser BB Gull, 3 Herring Gull, 2 Avocet, 126 Black headed Gull, 2 Mediterranean Gull.
