16:54 Walk from Frinton to Haven and back via seawall this morning included: 1 Wood Sandpiper, 1 Spotted Redshank, 1 Green Sandpiper, 3 Snipe, 4 Common Sand, 4 Redshank, 2 Dunlin, 88 Black-tailed Godwit, 6 Avocet, 2 Ringed Plover (1 on the beach), 1 Little Egret, 11 House Martin (5 south), 120+ Swallow (30+ golf course first thing, at times the whole flock sitting on one of the fairways; 50+ over scrape; 40+ south), 1 Green Woodpecker, 18 Curlew (golf course), 1 Yellow Wag (south), 20+ Goldfinch (post-breeding flock on GC), 20+ Sand Martin (15+ south, 5 with swallow flock), 5 Reed Bunting, 11 Linnet, 32 Swift (south), 120+ Starling (GC first thing), 4 Whimbrel (3 GC, 1 south), 11 Pied Wag, 1 Reed Warbler (subsong), 1 Sparrowhawk (juv (or juvs) calling from trees west of sluice), 1 Sedge Warbler (juv), 2 Blackcap, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 4 Willow Warbler, 4 Chiffchaff, 1 Whitethroat, 1 Buzzard, 1 Marsh Harrier.

14:31 Haven this morning. Scrape, 1 juv Wood Sand, 1 Green Sand and 5 Common Sand, 2 Adult Dunlin, 1 Ad, Ringed Plover, moulting ad, Spotted Redshank, 90+Blackwit, 12 Curlew. 1 Juv Marsh Harrier, lots of Sand Martins going through, 60+.brief cafe stop, 3 Sanderling and 1 Whimbrel south.
