Two new birds for the year list today with a Blackcap at the Dipping Pond and at least 5 Wheatear (3 near the wooden hide (DC), 2 on golf course (SC)) for Dave Cummings.

17:07 Walking in the rain payed off, 2 Male Wheatear and 1 Female Wheatear in big paddock at Farm. Also of note was 1 Corn Bunting, 1 Mistle Thrush. Definitely brightened up my day!

20:31 Couldn’t find any Wheatears in 3 hours searching for me this late afternoon/ evening. Male Marsh Harrier, Lt Egret on Golf course, 20+ Snipe, c40 Avocet and 3 Blackwit on scrape. 5 Redshank only additions this morning.
