Wed 11th May 22

Another windy day with mainly cloudy skies, unfortunately we couldn't dig out any of the fall of Spotted Flycatchers experienced at the Naze this morning, but there's another day tomorrow.

From the hide:  2 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag Goose, 4 Mallard, 3 Shelduck, 5 Dunlin, 4 Avocet, 2 Redshank, 2 Oystercatcher, 10+ Swallows, 1 Swift, Reed & Sedge Warblers, Cetti's Warbler, Reed Buntings, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Buzzard, 1 Sparrowhawk.

A Chinese Water Deer was also seen around the scrape. PRD/RJ/DP/MR

A quick pop to the farm on the way home added 5 Wheatear on the recently planted field just east of the paddocks. MR

Reports from today:

Richard Jeffree

12:21 Another 2 female Wheatear + female Stonechat GC dump.
