17:48 Walk from Frinton to Haven and back via farm this morning: 1 Black Redstart, 9 Chiff (6 singing), 4 Blackcap (singing), 3 Corn Bunting (singing, 1 east and 1 south of paddocks, 1 east of manure heap on bridleway), 2 Greenfinch (1 singing), 10 Mediterranean Gull (all adults, golf course first thing), 250+ Black headed Gull (golf course first thing), 7 Cetti’s (singing), 25 Linnet (10 along seawall, 15 farm), 3 Oystercatcher, 14 Curlew, 2 Reed Bunting (1 singing), 1 Song Thrush (singing), 9 Avocet, 22 Shoveler, 2 Gadwall, 55 Teal, 2 Purple Sandpiper, 2 Green Woodpecker, 1 Chinese Muntjac, 19 species in song despite the weather.
