Brief visit this morning, some showers and windy. Scrape,11 Blackwits, 2 Snipe, 2 Avocets, 1 Green Sand, 70 Teal & 1 Marsh Harrier. 1 Sandwich Tern south, several groups of Mixed Swallow & House Martins battling south. 3 Chiffs, 1 Blackcap in Bushes, couldn’t locate Shrike by 9.30.
A late start for me today, I started off around the Dell to look for the Shrike (which had been reported on RBA at 10:17) and managed to relocate it at about 11:00 on the car park side of the Badger set, it showed well for a while before moving back into the Dell.
A walk round the bushes added a Spotted Flycatcher in the clearing over the 5 bar gate, otherwise just the regulars.
The Shrike was showing very well in the Dell until 18:30 at least ML/MM/PB
