Wed 4th Sept 19

A late start because of the heavy rain today, but after about an hour one of the Wrynecks was relocated in the Dell (for it's seventh day) at around 11:00. so far as I know it was not seen again by visiting birders as of 13:00. Peter Newton & Matt Lonsdale both reported seeing it again around 18:00 but it was very elusive and seen to fly from the car park area and return so perhaps it has extended it's range a little.

Whilst searching for the Wryneck 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Willow Warbler, 30+ House Sparrows & a few Lesser & Common Whitethroats were seen, 4 Turnstone were on the sluice rocks and 3 Sandwich Tern were feeding offshore, 1 Single Wheatear was on the pillbox.

From the Hide :- 160 Greylag, c70 Teal, 2 Grey Heron, c70 Lapwing, 4 BlkWits, 2 Snipe (JH), 1 Curlew, 1 Common Sand, 1 Green Sand, 40+ Swallows.

19:30 Seawall run from Frinton to tower and back v quiet.  Single Wheatear and Swift, two Sand Martin and two Sandwich Tern.
