Tue 15th Oct 19

A pleasure to have a walk around the site this morning without a gale of wind blowing, although it didn't help with the birding, still very quiet. A couple of Goldcrest, single Chiffchaff, Song Thrush, Green Woodpecker, lots of Robins & Blackbirds + 2 Turnstone with Gulls on the Sailing Club beach was about it for me.
Pete Davis had a Chiff, Gt. Spotted Woodpecker & very showy Cetti's Warbler at the Dipping Pond.

From the Hide :- 4 Canada Geese, c100 Teal, 9 Wigeon, 3 Shoveler, 8 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, c100 Lapwing, 2 Snipe, 1 Avocet, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Water Rail, 1 Cetti's Warbler (heard), 10+ Reed Bunting, 3+ Stonechat, 1 Whinchat, c30 Swallows, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Buzzard, 2 Kestrel. DW/MR.

The Marsh Harrier was wing tagged with green tags & Blk. letters "L6" (hopefully history will follow shortly).
