Fri 24th Jan 20

Another very quiet day today, nothing offshore apart from a few Great Black-Backed Gulls and a single Purple Sandpiper on the seawall north of the sluice.

From the hide the Black Swan was on the scrape today along with the normal Greylag, Canada's, Wigeon, Teal, Shelduck, and Shoveler, c400 Lapwing, 9+ Snipe, 8 Curlew, 3 BlkWit's, 1 Water Rail (showed well today), 1 Grey Heron, 1 Barn Owl, 1 Buzzard, 3 Kestrel, Corn & Reed Bunting, Linnet & Yellowhammer. DW/DC/MR

The Coal Tit was again on the busy feeders and several Blackbird & Song Thrush were around the carpark.
