A pleasant morning for a walk around the site. Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, Blackcap, Linnet, Chiffchaff, Cetti's Warbler and Reed Warbler all singing over the road and the Swallows back under the bridge, more of the same along the approach road, plus a Song Thrush singing at the Dipping Pond.
From the hide: 1 Mute Swan, 7 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 1 Egyptian Goose, 34 Shelduck, 12 Teal, 8 Mallard, 6 Shoveler, 2 Gadwall, 2 Grey Heron, 1 Lt. Egret, c10 Lapwing, 8 Avocet, 3 Redshank, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Wheatear, 2 Skylark, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Cetti's Warbler, plus lots of gulls.
