Wed 23rd Apr 25

I was a bit late joining PL on his seawatch and only managed 5 Gannets and a R T Diver. The brisk easterly wind made it hard work around the bushes so we headed to the hide. Great to see the first brood of the year today with 4 new Lapwing chicks to the right of the hide.

From the hide: 8 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 12 Shelduck, 10 Teal, 7 Shoveler, 6 Mallard, 2 Gadwall, 14 Avocet, 10+ Lapwing (+4 chicks), 3 Redshank, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Common Sandpiper, c40 Herring Gulls, 12 Common Gulls, 4 Med Gulls, 1 LBB, 4 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Lt. Egret, 1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, Sedge Warbler, Cetti's Warbler, Reed Bunting & Linnets, 20+ Swallows, 2 Sand Martin. PL/MR
