Thurs 9th May 19

No new waders on the scrape this morning, in fact it looked decidedly empty with just 4 Canada Geese, 9 Shelduck, 9 Dunlin, 6 Lapwing, 4 Avocet, 3 Redshank, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Whimbrel (over), 1 BlkWit, and a few Gulls + 1 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Buzzard, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Sand Martin, 3 Swallows + a few Linnet & Reed Bunting.

A 30 min look out to sea added nothing; just a few gulls and a Cormorant on the sluice green triangle.

Around the site were Blackcaps,Common and Lesser Whitethroats, 3+ singing Chiffchaffs 3+ Cetti's Warbler, 5 Blk. T. Godwits (on the scrape below the raised platform).

18:00 23 Dunlin on the scrape, 1 Little Tern fishing off the sluice.
