Another good start for Pete Davis this morning with the first Wood Sandpiper* of the year and only the second record of Barnacle Goose on the scrape first thing. also noted at this time were 1 Dunlin & 1 Ringed Plover + all the usual. PRD/TS/DW/MR

An afternoon visit to the hide produced 1 Mute Swan, 2 Canada Geese, 31 Shelduck, 1 Gadwall, 10 Lapwing (+ the first chicks from the scrape area this year with 3 singles and a group of 4 noted), 8 Redshank, 6 Avocet, 5 Dunlin, 2 Wood Sandpipers, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Grey Plover. SC/MM/MR
