Wed 15th May 19

A nice day for a walk is about all you can say on the birding front, everything is settled in and doing more food carrying than singing at the moment.
Time is moving on though, the Terrapins have reappeared in the dipping pond with only one thing on their minds and my first Dragonfly & Damselfly of the Haven year were seen today (see Haven Wildlife Page).

The male Stonechat was in the area between the TDC compound and the mounds, lots of Whitethroat, few juv Pied Wags and some Linnets were on the mounds and a Cetti's Warbler was along the brook.

From the hide :- 2 Canada Geese, 18 Shelduck, 2 Avocet, 2 Redshank, 1 Greenshank, 1 Oystercatcher, 2 Cormorants, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Cuckoo, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler. 4 Swallows.
A walk to the 2nd pillbox added 3+ Reed Warbler, 2 Sedge Warbler + Skylark, Meadow Pipit & Reed Buntings.
