I was glad I popped over to have a look at the scrape this morning, the first Avocet chicks had hatched on the main island, just two so far but hopefully many more in the next few days.
Everything else much the same as of late, had a short seawatch but found it just too windy.
Reports from today:
Paul Brayshaw
09:02 Early run 6-6.30 along the seawall produced two Fulmar close north with another six since I’ve been home plus a few Gannet and Kitts.
Pete Loud
15:27 2 Common Terns south from the Shelter, but not much else so far.
16:55 90 min seawatch apart from the 2 Common Terns that were a Haven new for year, I managed just 1 Fulmar north and 1 Gannet south.
