Much nicer weather this morning and all the residents were about but much quieter with nesting underway. Probably why this Cuckoo was not bothered about Dave & I on the raised platform as it kept a close eye on a pair of Reed Warblers along the brook.

A Sparrowhawk was again tucked away in the bushes behind the raised platform, possibly another bird nesting in that area.

Things were much the same on the scrape, just one Avocet chick today but not one of the two from the last couple of days, todays bird was tiny and freshly hatched on the small island on the R/H side of the scrape. DW/MR.
