The Lesser Whitethroat was still around this morning although very mobile, ranging from the sluice to the back of the sewage works and at one time in the hedge around the hide. 5 Blackcaps, 4 Chiff's and 3 Cetti's Warblers also noted around the bushes.

A new bird for the site year list was a Sedge Warbler* seen briefly from the hide first thing. PL/IM

From the hide :- 4 Canada Geese, c40 Teal, 22 Shelduck, 6 Shoveler, 3 Wigeon, 2 Gadwall, 8 Avocet, 7 BlkWit's, 5 Redshank, 2 Oystercatchers, 1 Ruff, 1 Snipe, 1 Cormorant, 6 Buzzards, 1 Kestrel, 3 Swallows.  PL/IM/TS/ML/MR.





An afternoon visit to the hide by Emyr Jones showed a few changes from the morning, adding 3 Dunlin and 5 Curlew and an increase in numbers of Shelduck to 34, Blkwit's 12, + 3 Sand Martin & 40+ Swallows with more coming in off the sea.


 An evening sea watch from 17.15 to 18.45 produced 11 Common Gulls along with 100 Curlew (25 + 75) IM/ML/PL.
