Fri 5th April 19

Matt Lonsdale

07:30-09:00  this morning (memorials, back hedge, approach road and dell) 1 Willow Warbler* (dipping pond), 7+ Chiffchaff, 6+ Blackcap, influx of Dunnock also 1 Swallow around memorials.ML.

A visit to the hide by myself and John Hall showed things were very much the same as of late, 1 Water Pipit was still showing on the back edge along with a few Pied Wags and Reed Buntings, a Cetti's Warbler was making a lot of noise just in front of the hide.
Around 10:20 a single Green Sandpiper* was seen on the flood between the scrape and the back hedge for a few minutes before being lost to view in the longer grass, also noted at this time were 6 Golden Plover on the harrowed arable above the first and second Owl boxes. JH/MR
