Mon 15th Apr 19
Very quiet all round today, although the morning started well for Max Martin who had a Common Tern* flying along the brook from the raised platform first thing.
For me the bushes held 3 Chiffchaff, 4 Blackcaps, 4 Cetti's Warbler (3 seen) and a year tick of a Sedge Warbler from the hide.
From the hide :- 4 Canada Geese, c40 Teal, 24 Shelduck, 4 Shoveler, 2 Gadwall, 8 BlkWit's, 8 Avocet, 6 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Redshank, 1 Ruff, 1 Common Gull with Blk-Headed & Herring Gulls, 3 Reed Bunting, 2 Linnet, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Kestrel.
Ringed Chiffchaff |
A walk down to the boardwalk added just a few Skylark, Meadow Pipits & Reed Buntings
2 Adders, 5+Common Lizard, & Buff-tailed Bumblebees also noted (see Haven Wildlife).
