Thur 8th April 21

An hours walk along the front mid morning gave just one addition to Pete's report below with 9 Turnstone and a Purple Sandpiper on the beach below the shelter before flying along the tideline toward Frinton.

Still very cold this morning so a nice hot coffee from the Beach Haven Cafe on the promenade was very welcome, they are now fully open again for the summer (as a take away for now) selling Hot drinks, snacks and specials, great bacon rolls!

Reports from today:

Pete Loud

15:10 Still pretty chilly at the Haven this morning, hence the lack of migrants, although I did manage to see a couple of Blackcap, 2 Chiffs & a Swallow. On the Scrape 1 Ruff, 1 Little Egret, 22 Avocet, 6 Redshank, 4 Snipe, 2 Adult Med Gull, 25 Teal, 6 Shoveler & 1 Curlew. Offshore still a few Red throats & Cormorants.
