Wed 28th April 21
Back to winter, windy and cold on the front again today with yesterdays hint of summer long gone.
Blackcaps, Lesser Whitethroat, lots of Wrens & Robins were around the bushes, 3 Whitethroat on the mounds, 4 Purple Sandpipers were on the sluice rocks again this morning before the tide forced them to move.
On the scrape: A high count of 50 Avocet & 14 Teal + a Marsh Harrier (PRD) was the high point with a few Redshank, 8 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Lt. Egret, Reed & Sedge Warblers, Reed Bunting, Cetti's Warbler & 10 + Swallows. PRD/JH/DW/MR.
