08:03 A few bits to add from my seawall run earlier (Frinton to Wooden hide area  c0630-0700). On beach 4 Sanderling, 8 Turnstone with 5 Common Sands near raised tee (on both there and back so maybe additional to Matts). 3 Wheatear on seawall and southbound Dunlin, 4 Grey Plover, 22 Oyk and a north bound Gannet offshore (had Bonxie from out of haven area), 3 Yellow Wag, 218 Swallow (mainly in two pulses) and 64 Sand Martin. Also 50+ Swallows over gc.  Need to stop trying to run after the weekend and focus more on birds! And a Dunlin flying south calling that went high inland over the gc.

16:04 First visit to Haven on my Chariot. Nothing to add to previous lists, in fact from my sightings a few to take away but I might well have missed some. Ruff showing well along front edge of island Common Sand on Leon’s Marsh unable to locate Lt Stint or Wood Sand, Buzzard on back post. Barn Owl made brief appearance then disappeared over road.  Just spotted Wood Sand back of scrape. Leaving hide 16.05.

Pete Loud

Late visit this evening, warm and cloudy so visibility from the hide was excellent. Little Stint was still on show with a supporting cast of 1 Wood Sand, 5 Common Sand, 3 Snipe, 2 Dunlin, 3 Blackwits, 2 Shoveler and lots of Teal. Offshore some nice groups of Sandwich Terns were heading north, totaling 36 birds. Left site at 7:45.
