No sign of yesterdays Nightingale but Lesser Whitethroat was new for the year list, another singing Willow Warbler, Blackcap and lots of Chiffchaffs around the bushes.
From the hide: 4 Canada Geese, 30 Shelduck, c20 Teal, 8 Mallard, 6 Shoveler, 4 Gadwall, 15 Avocet, 6 Redshank, 4 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Snipe, Sedge Warbler, Cetti's Warbler, Reed Bunting, 10+ Swallows, 3 House Martin, 2 Sand Martin. PL/RJ/ML/MR

08:40 Seawall Frinton to gc dump. Gc Whimbrel 9. Med Gull 2, Barwit 1, Golden Plover 3. Single Sedge and 2 Cetti’s singing half-heartedly. Decent finch passage between the showers - haven area totals 62 Linnet, 17 Goldfinch and 4 Siskin plus 2 Swallow all south Offshore north 2 Med Gull, 2 Fulmar, single Brent and Barwit.
