Tues 25th Apr 23

A good start for me at the farm this morning with a Hobby and a Yellow Wagtail (both NFY for me). The Hobby was over the arable between the paddocks and Frinton Tennis Club and the Yellow wag was with the white horse in the last but one paddock.

I joined PD on the main site where things were much the same with lots of Chiffchaffs, a few Blackcaps & Whitethroats but no Lesser Whitethroat or Willow Warbler heard.

An interesting Sylvia song from the bramble on the mounds took up a bit of time mid-morning but nothing was seen unfortunately.

From the hide: 4 Canada Geese, 31 Shelduck, 10 Teal, 9 Gadwall, 7 Shoveler, 6 Mallard, 1 Garganey (drake BH), 16  Avocet, 6 Redshank, 4 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Coot, Blk H Gulls, Herring Gulls, 2 LBB's, 1 Common Gull, 12+ Swallow, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Reed Bunting, Cetti's Warbler, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Kestrel, plus 1 Peregrine & 1 Sparrowhawk (from the mounds)
