On the way to the hide 2 Turnstones were on the sluice rocks, the 2cy Mute Swan was on the brook behind the sluice and a Carrion Crow was tucking into a slow worm or small snake along the track. ML/MR

From the hide: 12 Canada Geese, 3 Greylag, 2 Egyptian Geese, 20 Shelduck (+4 ducklings), 8 Mallard, 3 Gadwall, 14 Avocet, 4 Lapwing (+1 chick), 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Blk T Godwit, 1 Redshank, 2 Lt. Egret, 1 Grey Heron, Blk H Gulls, Reed Warbler, Reed Bunting, Linnet, Cetti's Warbler, Swallow. ML/PL/MO'H/MR.
