On the positive side a Cuckoo on the back hedge was the first of the year, on the negative side no sign of any Lapwing chicks today and one of four new Mallard ducklings on the pond ventured to close to the Grey Heron and then there were three.




From the hide: 5 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 15 Shelduck, 10+ Mallard (+3 Chicks), 4 Teal, 22 Avocet, 4 Lapwing, 4 Whimbrel, 2 Redshank, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Common Sand, 1 Snipe, 2 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron, 1 Lt. Egret, Blk Headed & Herring Gulls, 20+ Common Gulls, 1 LBB, 1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 1 Cuckoo, Sedge & Reed Warbler, Reed Bunting, Linnet, Pied Wag. PL/MO'H/RJ/MR.

10:23 Haven this morning up to c9:30. 2 Common Tern, 5 Gannet, 12 Whimbrel, Com Sand and Siskin North. Willow Warbler and 2 Lesser Whitethroat in bushes. Single Common Sand on the scrape.
