Sun 23rd Aug 20

A great day at the Haven today, the morning got off to a good start for Pete Loud, Max and myself with a nice Wheatear on the sluice rocks and a super juv. Sanderling on the beach.

Some time was spent at the Mounds with the bushes full of birds before moving on to the hide.  All the waders from recent days were still on show (see Pete's report below).

After lunch a report of a Spoonbill on the scrape had me heading back and sure enough the Spoonbill was asleep in the middle of the scrape, the day was capped off nicely a few minutes later when a Curlew Sandpiper was located at the back of the island. PRD/DP/PL/DC/MR
