Short visit today, a brisk wind made the bushes hard work.

29 Greylag, 3 Shelduck, 4 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron, 42 Lapwing, 8 Redshank, 6 Avocet, 6 Dunlin, 3 Oystercatcher, 2 Whimbrel, 1 Common Sand, 1 Green Sand, 80+ Blk. H Gulls, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Kestrel, 1 Marsh Harrier. PRD/DW/MR

On the way back to the car 7 Sandwich Tern headed N/E.

Simon & Pat were ringing in the reedbed this morning (see Ringing page) and noted 9 Whimbrel, 2 Sand Martin, 2 Yellow Wags & 2 Green Woodpeckers.
