This mornings early start was punctuated by an unsuccessful trip to the Naze for the Icterine Warbler. Well done Darrel !.
More luck on my return to the Haven with a good number of Wasp Spiders located and the Water Vole was very obliging at the Dipping Pond (see Haven Wildlife page).
From a very quick visit to the hide:
2 Dunlin, 2 Green Sands, 1 Common Sand, 1 Knot, 26 Teal + Avocet, Oystercatcher, Lapwing, Blk. H Gulls, Grey Heron, Cormorant, Shelduck as of late.
On leaving site as I drove passed the 5 bar gate a bird flew across the road from the orchard area that looked interesting, after an emergency park and grabbing my bins I managed to locate a Pied Flycatcher moving between the small bushes on the greensward before being lost to view back on the other side of the road.
