At last a day when its not blowing a gale, but that made it feel even hotter, quite a few birds around this morning but couldn't find anything special.
From the hide:
2 Greylag, 2 Shelduck, 8 Teal, 36 Lapwing, 6 Avocet, 5 Dunlin, 3 BlkWits (2 flew out at 09:00), 1 LRP, 1 Common Sand, 1 Redshank, 61 Blk H Gulls, 2 Grey Heron, 1 Buzzard, 1 Marsh Harrier.
A nice surprise was a Cetti's Warbler that popped out of the bramble in front of the hide and showed well for a couple of minutes. DC/MR
On the Dragonfly front a Norfolk Hawker was seen again today in Kirby Brook (see Haven Wildlife page).
Paul Brayshaw
