Sun 19th May 24


A lovely morning for a walk down to the hide after spending a while at the lay-by, but no sign of yesterdays Shrike. 

Around the bushes still Whitethroat, Chiffchaff & Blackcaps singing and lots of butterflies around.





From the hide: 2 Mute Swans, 4 Canada Geese (+ goslings), 2 Greylag, 24 Shelduck (+18 ducklings), 14 Gadwall, 10+ Mallard, 3 Shoveler, 2 Tufted Duck, 1 Teal, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Lt. Egret, 1 Coot, 14 Avocet, 5 Lapwing, 2 Redshank, 1 Dunlin, 1 Ringed Plover, a few Blk-headed & Herring Gulls, 2 Swallow, 1 Cuckoo, 1 Yellow Wag, Cetti's Warbler, Reed Bunting, Reed Warbler.
