Tues 14th May 24


I managed to dodge the rain both ways, but a very wet morning.

From the hide: 2 Mute Swans, 4 Canada Geese (+goslings), 33+ Shelduck (+ c19 ducklings), c20+ Mallard, 8 Gadwall, 3 Shoveler, 2 Tufted Duck, 2 Cormorant, 1 Lt. Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 9+ Avocet, 8 Lapwing, 4 Ringed Plover, 2 Redshank, 2 Wood Sands, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Temminck's Stint, 1 Dunlin, 14 Blk-headed, 10 Herring Gulls, 6 Common Gulls, 3 LBB, 1 Cuckoo, 1 Barn Owl, 1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 10+ Swallows, 1 Yellow Wag, Cetti's Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, Whitethroat, Reed Warbler, Reed Bunting, Linnet, Skylark. Plus 1 Chinese Water Deer & 1 Muntjac.

14:06 1300-1400 2 Wood Sands, 2 Redshank, 2nd cy Med Gull, Cuckoo, Y Wag, Buzzard.

14:43 1 Wood Sandpiper far left side of flood. Just got in hide before heavy rain.

15:54 Can find only 1 Wood Sandpiper out in open on flood. I cannot find Temminck's or other Wood Sand. No Dunlin or Ringed Plover.

16:26 2 Wood Sandpipers together left side on flood.
