Much the same from the hide today with the addition of a Little Ringed Plover (NFY) found by Brian first thing.

From the hide: 2 Mute Swans, 4 Canada Geese (+ goslings), 24 Shelduck (+ 18 ducklings), 12+ Mallard, 6 Gadwall, 2 Shoveler, 2 Tufted Duck, 1 Garganey, 2 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 6 Lapwing, 4 Avocet, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Common Sands, 2 Redshank, 1 LRP, 1 Cuckoo, Cetti's Warbler, Reed Warbler, 1 Yellow Wag.

07:49 Blue-headed Wagtail on scrape, Garganey on flood though elusive, Wood Sand on flood but chased off by Lapwing.

08:05 Wagtail just flown from island towards flood but not relocated, Garganey at back of flood.

08:37 Little Ringed Plover on scrape.

18:43 Walk from Frinton to Haven and back via farm this morning included: Blue-headed Wagtail (lovely male on scrape; it was with a female which had relatively strong head pattern, possibly a female flava but large variation in plumage of female subspecies makes it impossible to be sure - flew off together), 1 drake Garganey, 1 Wood Sandpiper, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Redshank, 2 Avocet, 1 Shoveler, 4 Gadwall, 2 Yellow Wag, 2 Chiff (singing), 1 Buzzard, 1 Song Thrush (singing), 4 Blackcap (singing), 2 Lesser Whitethroat (singing), 1 Corn Bunting (singing), 4 Hare, 12 Linnet, 22 Swallow, 10 Whitethroat (singing), 9 Cetti’s (singing), 30+ Starling (a number of families feeding on northern edge of golf course), 4 Reed Bunting (singing), 8 Reed Warbler (singing), 3 Sedge Warbler (singing), 1 Cuckoo (singing), 2 Swift, 10 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Common Sandpiper. (23 species in song).
